Last Leg of Nine Day Cleanse...Feeling Great at End of First of Two Days of Deep Cleansing

Love This Pic
Myself and several of my Isa friends have been participating in a Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse to jump start our new year weight and fitness goals.   As a part of that cleanse, there are two two day deep cleanses...on the first day of the second of these, and it has been a great day, with tomorrow ending both the two day cleanse, as well as the "Isa Guru 9 Day Cleanse Challenge.  Wish I had a magic wand, could wave it and have all 18 of those who committed to this challenge here with me on Monday morning to share that first shake after our two day Deep Cleanse...that is going to taste so good.

I've added the BBB (Bedtime Belly Buster) to my own routine.  Being under 170, and taking a hard look at myself, realize the biggest hurdle for me yet to get over is fully ridding myself of the Buddha Belly that has been with me for decades, a Buddha Belly that in the last few years had grown to an alarming size...hoping that the BBB will help me get over that last major hurdle as I hone in on my next major goal of losing enough weight to tip the scales at under 160.  The BBB is pretty simple...each night at bedtime I take one scoop of our IsaPro Whey Protein, and one scoop of calcium, mix with four ounces of warm water and chug it down (not the most delicious concoction)...that's it, nothing earth shattering, the program working (hopefully) while I sleep.

Just a Chickadee
That said, it will take more than just drinking product to lose the last of the weight, to get rid of my Buddha Belly, and tone up...that requires WORK...as in actually exercising in some fashion or another.  Today was a good day where exercise (aerobic) is concerned.  I headed out the door with my camera around 1:30 this afternoon after I'd done my second portion of "Cleanse for Life".  Had my camera (eight pounds), a bottle of the new e+ Energy Shot, one bottle of water, and three pound ankle weights...I know, daring!  Can here some of my fellow cleansers, "You ANIMAL you!"
Note*...the new e+Energy Drink is amazing...drank it down at the halfway point of my walk when I turned around to head home, and about four hours later am still full of energy and feeling motivated.
This Caught My Eye
Got home at just after four, so not quite, but close on to three hours out and about...distance wise, guessing I probably walked about six miles...not a lot of distance considering how long I was out doors, but also got a few pictures that I was happy with, so an A+ walk in my book.  once inside, did my third Cleanse for Life, and about to do my last of the day.  Two Isa Flush about an hour before bedtime, then just before bed the Belly Buster, and leaves me with just one more day and I will have successfully completed the 9 Day Cleanse Challenge...WOOT WOOT!

Monday will be a big day...will take my measurements for the 90 Day Challenge, total up just how many body inches I have shed on the last 90 plus days...will also get on the scale and take a tally and report these to the folks at the Isa Body Challenge as soon as I can get someone to take new pictures of the NEW ME.  Not so much an ending, but rather the completion of one chapter, and the beginning of a new one.  Will be interesting to see what the next 90 days of my Isagenix journey has in store for me.
STAY TUNED...

Really Excited About New Energy Drink...It's all Natural and SAFE

If you want to know just how big Energy Drinks are, all you have to do is walk into any Sam's Club or Costco and see how much floor space they are given.  The leader of the pack for quite some time has been 5 Hour Energy which is under investigation by the FDA, the question after five deaths obviously being is it safe?  Despite this investigation, the energy drink market is huge for one big reason...young people drink it much like 79 million Baby Boomers (myself included) drink our coffee.  We rush into Star Bucks for a cup on the run, brew ourselves a cup (or two) first thing in the morning to start  our day.  Sometimes we even have a cup early in the evening just after dinner...it is our caffeine ingestion source of choice.  The younger generation reaches for a Energy Drink, with the average consumers of energy drinks ranging in age from  13-35.

As someone who loves his coffee, I know that not all coffees are created equal...the same holds true for Energy Drinks, and just because 5 Hour Energy is currently the leader of the pack, that fact does not make it the best choice when reaching for an energy drink.

This weekend at the Isagenix NYKO 2013 gathering in Phoenix Arizona, Isagenix (my company) introduced what I believe to be the best, healthiest and all natural Energy Drink on the market in their e+ Energy Shot.  A bold claim for a product out just four days, but lets take a look at it.

So how does e+ Energy Shot compare?

e+ Energy Shot reduces the effects of fatigue with naturally-sourced caffeine and a proprietary blend of adaptogenic botanicals. e+ Energy Shot contains no added sugars, artificial colors, sweeteners or flavoring found in other energy drinks. This proprietary, energy-boosting formula delivers:
  • A Quick energy boost that lasts for hours
  • A kick-start to your workout
  • Improved focus and physical performance
  • Clarity and alertness
  • A safe, effective and natural energy boost
The two key components of what makes  e+ Energy Shot the healthier natural choice of energy drink are its adaptogenic botanicals, and the absence of added sugars, artificial colors (toxins), sweetners or flavoring.   The second advantage is clear to see, but can see some scratching their heads and asking themselves, what are adaptogenic botanicals?

For a herb  to be classified a adaptogenic botanical, there are three general guidelines.

1. Herb cannot cause harm or place additional stress on the body.

2. The herb must have the ability to  help the body adapt to a variety of stresses, both environmental and psychological in nature.

3. The herb must work in a nonspecific (targeted) way. Which is to say, it should support our whole body, including all  major systems (nervous, immune, hormonal, etc.), and help regulate body's functions.

Generally, herbal adaptogens should have a 'normalizing' effect on the body, not over stimulate, nor depress the body's systems.

Imagine reaching for an Energy Drink that is natural and healthy, devoid of toxins, free of added sugars, artificial colors, sweetners or flavoring, and there is only one choice, and that is the Isagenix e+ Energy Shot.  To learn more, or order you e+ Energy Shot, click here.

Sharing Last Post From NYKO Almost Live Blog...Was Fun Blogging the Event

NYKO 2013 Recap...On To Celebration in August

NYKO 2013 as they say is in the record books, those who attended packing suitcases, or already on the road or in a plane.  The three big BUZZ catchers are pretty easy to ascertain.
  • Isagenix e+ Energy Drink stole the show, and their #ShareTheShot hashtag on twitter a great idea.  Just wish that everyone in Isagenix had been on Twitter when the product was officially launched putting out tweets so that we could have trended both #ShareTheShot and #NYKO2013.
  • Next up was the announcement that next year's NYKO is going to be held in Dallas...would love to attend that event, but my up line mentor is suggesting that Las Vegas Celebration might be a better fit.
  • The announcement that Isagenix is declaring war on short telomeres!  This should be number one on the list, and is for me.  Just here in America Isagenix Product B can help 79 million aging Baby Boomers.
  • Celebration...this event is going to be held in August in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Should be a grand time, and it is my understanding that it is a much larger gathering of the Isagenix family than NYKO is.
The official recap with links to appropriate articles on IsaFYI.

More money. New products. Three new IsaBody Challenge® categories.

Our 2013 “Focus on Your Future” New Year Kick Off was packed with energy, tons of new promotions and products and so much more. If you missed out, check out all of the announcements from the event below:

Hope everyone who has visited here the past few days has enjoyed the content.  Been fun blogging this event, and looking forward to doing it again next year when NYKO2014 finds itself in Dallas Texas...what an appropriate host city for us, in the state where, as they say, everything is BIG.

NYKO 2013 Day 1 Wrap Up...Shared From NYKO 2013 Almost Live Blog

WOW....I am exhausted, but what a great day.

First, we have almost 20 people doing the "Isa Guru 9 Day Challenge" and I have just finished my two days of pre-cleanse preparation, behaving myself, working out, and doing my Isalean shakes.  Am so ready for the Two Day Deep Cleanse that starts tomorrow.  So proud of all the people in the Cleanse Challenge that are getting a JUMP START on their 2013 fitness/weight loss goals.  Going to throw a ringer at them in this post and then post over in our Cleanse Challenge Facebook Page.  Keeping with the theme of FOCUS, going to get them to FOCUS in our new Energy Drink by giving the first three of them to check in here a sample on me! As the saying goes, "Share the Sh*t!"

Rather than writing a second one, sharing here the Day 1 Wrap up I put together for the NYKO 20113 Almost Live blog...hope every one out in Phoenix enjoys the evening festivities!

NYKO2013 Day 1 Wrap Up With Your Host, "The Isa Guru"

WOW...what a day it has been at the Isagenix NYKO (New Year Kick Off) even in Phoenix today...I am stoked, and am not even there, but instead writing in the living room of my small apartment here in the small New York hamlet of Mountaindale.  Sure if I were there I would be hoarse of voice and side awake.  Where to start?
No doubt the star of the show is the new Isagenix Energy Drink...here is a bit from the Isagenix News page on it:

Introducing e+: the naturally-caffeinated energy shot that gets–and keeps–you going!

Let’s face it; in our fast-paced, not-enough-hours-in-the-day world, it’s easy to run down personal energy reserves. e+ is a flavorful energy-boost for everyone, formulated to help you feel refreshed and energized. And, e+ fires up your performance without the artificial colors, sweeteners or flavors found in many other energy drinks.
Pocket-sized e+ shots are convenient, great tasting, and perfect for that quick boost of energy when you need it most. The convenient 2-ounce bottle of e+ provides extra protection against fatigue, whether it’s before a workout or to help you meet a work deadline, thanks to the adaptogenic botanicals in each bottle.
What’s more, the ingredients of e+ were specifically selected to help your cells use energy more efficiently. Here’s just a taste of what e+ has in store for you:
    • Quick energy boost that lasts for hours
    • Kick-starts your workouts
    • Improves focus and physical performance
    • Helps you stay alert and think clearly
    • Safe, effective and natural
I can almost here the audience from here in New York chanting, "SHOT, SHOT, SHOT" and "Share the Sh*t!"  This is very exciting news...especially since our Energy Shot is healthy, unlike some of the other energy drinks out there being investigated by the FDA (Five Hour Energy Drink).
With all the excitement about the new Energy Drink, lets not lose sight of a very important part of the first day...John Anderson declaring a war on short strand Telemores!  This is BIG FOLKS.  Hard to imagine, but our Product B is about to get even better! To find out more about graceful aging and brain support, please visit here.
Our Ionix Supreme (my own morning time favorite) has been reformulated so that it now has 33 percent more powerful!  WOW...talk about putting some pep in your step.  As John Anderson said today, Isagenix is never satisfied standing pat (paraphrasing here).  Cannot wait to place a new order and try some of these new and improved products.  If you would like to know more about Ionix Supreme, would like to try some, please visit here.
Most touching moment of the day for me...The Video shared on Twitter by Stephanie Blackbird! You can watch it here, but bring your kleenex.  Yes, it is that touching, and incredibly inspirational.
There were other events, a lot more inspirational speakers, and if you read this article, please share your favorite moments from day one in a comment.
If you made it to here, can you please Google +1 this article, and maybe share it on Twitter or Facebook.  Want to interact further, you can find me on Facebook!  Love new friends.

Social Media...Some Beginners Tips For My Isa Friends

First, wishing everyone a very happy, fun filled Thanksgiving full of fun, family and blessings.  Speak a blessing of gratitude for what you do have, and lift up to the heavens a prayer for all those in the world going through rough times.

As I sit here drinking my morning Isa Shake (already had my Ionix Supreme) wanted to write an article to share with everyone in our Isa Social Media group over on Facebook...a few tips on getting started in Social Media Marketing.  For beginners, Social Media Marketing (SMM) can be...well, it can be intimadating.

Social Media Marketing is something necessary in this new age of instantaneous communication, and it takes time to learn as there is a LOT TO LEARN.  That said, don't let it intimadate you...Rome was not built in a day, and when it comes to getting yourself out there, patience truly is a virtue.  So, some basic tips for those wanting to get started. (Hey, once the turkey is in the oven, and the footballs games are turned on, or after dinner when everyone wants to take a timeout before desert, why not get your toes wet?)

Social Media Tips For Beginners

1. Listen to your audience.  Sure, we all want to speak our minds, but are we doing it in a way that makes others want to listen...your audience is going to let you know what they like, what they want to hear about.  If one of your articles in a blog, tweets on Twitter, or a time line entry on Facebook gets great response (how many comments, how many article views?) while others see almost no traffic, your audience is speaking to you, "HEY, we really like this."  You can also ask your audience what they want to hear using polls, or even putting up a post asking them, "What articles would you like me to write, or what discussions are we wanting to have."

2. Know your audience.  On Facebook, many of us belong to various Isagenix groups, a captive audience of folks who want to hear about, and learn about Isagenix...so, probably would not make a lot of sense if I started putting up comments about the fine points of overhauling and restoring a 1947 DeSoto.  Those in Twitter A) like short concise statements (duh...only have 140 characters) and tend to like links in case they want more information.  Blogs on the other hand give you more of a platform for longer posts and explantions.

Bonus tip...Write a blog post (IE, this one) then make a short concise statement about it with a link on twitter...a great twofer!  Viral Marketing at its finest.

3. Start small.  Yes, you want to protect your brand, maybe you want to run out and establish yourself on say 10 Social Media sites...but, once you have made that LAND GRAB, let some of those pieces of real estate sit idle.  It is best to put all your efforts into one or two projects, build them up, grow a following, then look toward expanding.

4. See what’s working.  Think of it as research...do Google searches, find out what others in your industry (Isagenix) are doing to attract and build their own audience...if you are using Facebook, go find out who is being successful marketing a similiar/identical product, and start modeling your plan based on this newly gained information...they say imitation is the highest form of flattery, and it is.  After all, why would any of us want to duplicate a marketing plan that DOES NOT WORK?

What it all comes down to...GET STARTED.  Find your audience, strike up conversations about what you are passionate about (Isagenix), engage, engage, ENGAGE...why do you think they call it SOCIAL MEDIA?

Looking For A HEALTHY Energy Drink?

Five Hour Energy has put energy drinks in the news in a big way, the company and product under investigation by our federal government.  One thing is for sure...a lot of the energy drinks on the market today, with Gatorade the best known, from my perspective leave a lot to be desired.  Have you looked at the ingredients on the labels of some of these drinks?

water, sugar, table salt, carbohydrates, electrolytes (110 mg sodium, 30 mg potassium, 93 mg chloride), high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, glucose, fructose, and sugar
.

Does this sound healthy?  Do you really want your children, family and friends drinking high sugar beverages filled with GMO's (organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques)?  If you are an athelete, is this what you really want to be putting in your body?  Worse, what happens when over time you begin drinking it as just a beverage, overconsuming the product?  Can we say obesity?

There is a better choice, a healthy choice when it comes to Energy Drinks.

Want More Energy (yes, that is the name of the product!) from Isagenix, the company known for giving the world healthy Super Foods.  Want to know more about this incredible healthy energy drink, or perhaps even try it?  CLICK HERE!
